After more than 25 years working across Accounting, financial system implementations, reporting, support, and process improvement, I became the person who often translated between what the business needed and what the system was asked to do.My first nonfiction book, It’s Not the System: The Real Reason Accounting and IT Don’t Align (and How to Fix It), draws from real project experience and focuses on the communication gaps, assumptions, testing misses, and “we thought everyone understood” moments that can derail even the best technology projects.I am also writing fiction, because apparently one kind of complicated world isn't enough. My fiction explores imagined worlds, unexpected turns, and possibly a mystery to solve. My first novel is YA Fantasy and is in the 2nd draft state. More to come on the progress. From the project war room to the writer’s room, I currently write about communication, connection, and the moments when better communication could change everything.
