Secret Memories / Recuerdos secretos

Secret Memories / Recuerdos secretos is a bilingual, highly introspective novel. It centers on two unnamed characters—a man who writes and a woman who paints—living together in an isolated beach house. They rarely speak, but their inner thoughts reveal an intense, mysterious connection and a shared, seemingly inevitable destiny.

Written largely as a stream of consciousness work emphasizing memory, desire, isolation, art, and the blurred boundary between imagination and reality. Its dreamlike imagery—including the woman's painting of a dagger-wielding Chinese man—builds toward a disturbing and symbolic climax
