Nearly three years after the destruction of Redhaven by Hellfire missile, the surviving 'regulators' have split up. Glenn and Laurel Mary Stanislaw hunt vampires and skinturners alongside fellow Redhaven survivors Gwen Novak, Petey Penobscott, and Jenny Prescott. Sondra Darden is a junior Senator running for President, and Amanda Breckenridge is her gun toting, ready to rumble, no bullshit Chief of Staff.

Unfortunately, the incumbent President is now possessed by Satan.

As a wave of 'new spiritualism' sweeps across America, fashionable seances are immediately followed by terrifying outbreaks of savage, grisly mass murder and cannibalism. No one knows why. No one except Senator Sondra Darden, who is herself possessed by the demon-goddess Lilith. Lilith knows a lot of shit.

She knows the Devil has set up shop in the President's undead corpus. She knows his entire Administration (except the Vice President, whom no one wants), his whole political party and especially his most ferocious supporters in their stupid red hats have all been possessed by vicious, bloodthirsty demons, pouring through an open Gateway to Hell located in the President's new private bunker underneath the still under construction East Wing ballroom.

And she knows Madeline Chess, former resident of Redhaven and member of its 'congregation', is actually Madelon K'Hesh, the immortal Witch of the Western Darkness, and she, too is scheming to scale to the apex of power in a New World Order soaked in blood and pain and darkness
