It all began with a near-death experience. Jack Ronerts found himself in a place between earth and heaven. Arriving at the place also gave Jack a new job. He has an obligation to help spirits who have lost their way. Sent back to the world he knew before death almost took him, Jack has a lot of work ahead of him. There is no instruction manual for what Jack is doing. He finds some help for himself, so he can help others as they try to cross through the veil.
