Ashes of the Ninth Flame

In Greyhaven, dragons are ordinary, memories are precious, and some things have been forgotten for far too long.

Liora has spent her life in the quiet village of Greyhaven, working in Mara’s bakery and accepting its peculiarities as simply part of home. Dragons share the roads with villagers, familiar faces have been familiar for as long as anyone can remember, and life follows the same comfortable rhythms it always has.

Until Liora begins noticing the gaps.

Names that should be remembered are missing. Stories no longer fit together. Beyond Greyhaven, something called the Fade is spreading — an absence that does more than consume places. It erases the memories, histories and identities that made them matter.

Drawn beyond the safety of everything she knows, Liora joins Caelan, an ancient dragon and historian, and a mysterious traveller searching for names he can no longer remember. Together, they begin following the fragments of a history the world has forgotten, uncovering traces of an ancient order, a lost city, and secrets buried for generations.

But the more they remember, the more dangerous remembering becomes.

Ashes of the Ninth Flame is the first book in The Ninth Flame, a character-driven epic fantasy filled with ancient dragons, forgotten histories, found family, slow-burning mystery, and a world where even the smallest memories may be worth fighting for. 🔥🐉
